- Hood River County will enjoy press coverage in three popular publications during the month of March. Sunset Magazine, a Northwest favorite, lists Hood River as one of the top 20 small towns to vacation and live in the Pacific Northwest.
- Hood River will also be mentioned in Oregon Business Magazine in an article covering business closures in Oregon due to the recession. Although the topic may seem far from appealing, after diligent research on the subject, the Chamber was pleased to discover and report to OBM that the number of new businesses opened within the past year far outweigh the few that have closed, showing signs of a strong business climate.
- Sierra Magazine’s March/April issue ran a wonderful, five-page feature article entitled “Because it Hurts,” covering a three day mountain biking excursion in the Mt. Hood trail system. The tagline, “Cycling Oregon’s Mt. Hood, ” is listed on the front cover and the article, which includes several color photos, mentions the Post Canyon biking system.
